Streetlight Music began when musician/producer Fingazz crossed paths with businessman/music lover Flossy. Flossy, who had ambitions of starting a record company as well as a production studio, called upon the talents of Fingazz to help. They set up a small studio in Flossy’s apartment and began making music, but soon after, he bought a house and the world famous ‘Purple Room’ studio was created. It was here that Fingazz finally had the tools to perfect his production skills, spending thousands of hours paying dues. Flossy and his brother Gat combed the streets of the Inland Empire for talent to develop, putting together two classic compilations:

"The Inland Empire Strikes Back" and "Under The Streetlight". These album projects were the beginnings of music-making relationships with I.E. rapper Lunch and his camp Homeless Nation.

Over the years, we have produced tracks for Homeless artists Diamonique, Gambit, Dirty Birdy, J-Walq, Misstress and others. One single made for Lunch, called “Lunchtime” was re-mixed to include W.C. and Dr. Stank and received a lot of attention from radio D.J.’s and record pools all over. After 10 years and 7 street albums, Lunch is finally releasing his debut album "Heart of a Lion" which features the smash single "Get Em Girl".

Fingazz, still playing in clubs as a musician to pay the bills, was performing at the Hollywood House of Blues with the funk band Slapbak, and was seen by Frost and his producer Baby Beesh. They approached him and hired him for his rare skill at the talkbox, and Fingazz went to the studio that night to record the hook for "Get Down" which was a B-side single. Fingazz continued to work with Baby Beesh (now Bash) on other songs for Latino Velvet with Jay-Tee and Frost. This led to meeting up with ODM from Lighter Shade of Brown, who also was based in the I.E.

Gaining more West Coast notoriety from working with artists like Bad Azz, Low Life Gangstas, and 40 Glocc, Flossy was able to convince Dogg Pound superstar, Kurupt to check out what all the buzz was about at the Purple Room. Kurupt was impressed and several tracks were completed, including two that were selected as bonus cuts on the "Space Boogie:Smoke Odessey" album. Fingazz’s talkbox was also featured on the track "At It Again" from the same album. Fingazz had a hit track with a talkbox hook that Kurupt heard and wanted to use for his little brother Roscoe. That track was the California classic "I Love Cali" that scorched the airwaves in the summer of 2000, hit Billboard, and was later selected as the theme song for the Harrison Ford/Josh Hartnet movie "Hollywood Homicide". It was that song that gave Streetlight the opportunity to develop Roscoe for several months, making close to 50 tracks with the young protege, including "5 Seconds" featured on his Capitol Records release “Philaphornia”.

Our long time association with Lunch led us to the discovery of Diamonique, an extremely talented female rapper/singer from the Inland Empire. We took a great interest due to the fact that there was a wide opening in the game for a female of her talent. After turning down several bad major label offers, she eventually decided to move on an independent offer from Pegasus Music Group. Her first album “Diamond In Da Ruff” was completely produced by Streetlight. The first single “Get It On” was well received by radio, but the second single, "Boom Bap" featuring Xzibit, caught huge attention.

After some disenchanting experiences working with "major" labels, Streetlight decided to focus on bringing quality production to independent labels and artists, as well as develop a few talented acts. We made several tracks for Mr. Shadow, Seldom Seen, Don Cisco, and others in Latin hip-hop. At the same time, a new radio show in L.A. that featured Latin hip-hop was introduced called “Pocos Pero Locos,” hosted by Power 106 personalities Khool Aid and Johnny Cuervo. The playlist eventually included several Streetlight songs and the show’s producer E-Dub called on Fingazz’s talkbox abilities for the show and his tracks. One of the artists brought to Streetlight by E-dub was Down, a rapper from Oxnard, CA. Streetlight was hired for several tracks for his“California Cowboys” album, including tracks featuring Daz Dillenger,Bad Azz, Roscoe, The Eastsidaz. His second album, a double album (1English, 1 Spanish titled “Bosses” and “Jeffes”) . This double album was completely produced by Fingazz and features Snoop Dogg, Kokane, Suga Free, Daz, Bad Azz, Kam, M.C. Ren, Roscoe, Jenni Rivera, and Los Razos.

Streetlight became the "go to" guys for latin hip-hop singles. Leading to work with almost every well known artist in and around California such as Low Profile Records (Royal T, Mr. Sancho, Silencer, Lil Bandit, and Ms. Sancha), Hi Power Entertainment (Mr. Capone-e, Mr. Criminal, Ms. Pinks), Knightowl, Lil Cuete, Seldom Seen, Lighter Shade of Brown, Slow Pain, Chino Grande, Chino Brown, Lil One, Greedy Lowko, Frost, Dolly Girl, Mister One, Lil Sic, Jae P, JMG, Lil Menace, and others.

In 2005, Fingazz was paired with Lil Rob to produce most of his 1218 pt. 1 album. The first single from the album "Summer Nights" was a national hit, reaching #4 on the rythmic radio charts.

In the following years, Streetlight had a string of successful radio hits such as Brown Boy's "Superman" which was the first time Fingazz would be heard on the radio singing with the auto-tune effect (before T-Pain). Also, Mr. Capone-e featuring Nate Dogg "I Like It", Mr. Capone-e featuring Twista "Don't get It Twisted", Mr. Capone-e featuring Fingazz "You Should Be a Model", Mr. Criminal featuring Nate Dogg "Mami Mira", and Fingazz featured on Lil Rob's single "Stuck With You".

More recently, Down called on Streetlight once more for his 3rd album "Definition of an Ese" which featured the Billboard mega hit "Lean Like A Cholo". This song would become Streetlight's first gold certified single.

In 2008, Streetlight Music is breaking into the next level. Their 15 year old rap artist, Meech, has signed to Sony/Epic Records, and will release his debut album in the spring. The album, mostly produced by Fingazz, includes Meech's first hit single "Thicka Than A Snicka", and his mega hit "Don't Hate". Fingazz is now in demand for production by nearly every major record label, including Interscope, Atlantic, Sony, Universal, and Warner Brothers.
